Everytime before we burn the iso, we have to apply the patcher for it to work on memor32.. but what contents does the patcher change? And will the burnt games with the patcher be able to work on normal modchip without memor32?
Because I dont have a modchip, and everytime I burnt an iso, I always backed up the original ISO image as well, afraid that if someday my memor32 breaks, then my burnt games with patcher will be completely useless due to incompatbility with modchips (if I do get it in the future). However, its really killing my DVD big times since now, one game=2 DVD... so if patcher works with normal modchip as well.. then its pointless for me to back up the original iso. Since I don't have a modchip, I cant try it out and I have noticed that even with the patcher applied to an iso, it works with ps2 emulator(I have only tried 1 game now, so not really sure about this?).
Also, do you guys back up ur original ISO as well?
Once you patch the ISO with the memento patcher, it will still work fine with modchips or swap magic.
It is not changing any contents but actually adding code to it is all,so it will work with the memor32 card and too make the PS2 think its a video file.
Once patched , and if you open up the ISO with IsoBuster 2, you will see it will say video file by the UDF symbol, instead of showing the SLUS-XXXX
So there is no need to make 2 backups.
Also for those backups that won't work with memento just follow the info I posted in my profile on how to play them with the SM 3.8 elf on the memor32.
