It looked like it connected. You are putting in the correct IP address for your xbox? Have you tried FTP'ing from diff dash's? It says password required for xbox, and it' hidden, are you putting the right password into the right spot? the user name is xbox and so is the password.

K, for me that error doesn't say much. lol .... Crap, I was just gonna give you a link to instructions for FTPing to an xbox but they're all too long and dragged out, I'll feel like a prick.
OK, In the xbox set your IP to static-192.168.1.100
PC, In the internet protocol properties set it to, 192.168.1.200, - subnet 255.255.255.0
You get to that through the network thing in the control panel. You should now that.
Ummm, you're sure you're using a crossover/patch cable?
In flash don't change anything but the IP addy, and the username/password, = xbox/xbox. (unless you changed that in the xbox) In flash the ip should be set to 192.168.1.100
That's all for now. Hopfully that all makes sence, I'm rushed here.

Quick troubleshooting.. long time since I used flash (it's annoying)
You must have no "default gateway" set in your pc eth0 settings (unless there is a hub/router involved) otherwise it will connect and then close.
PASV (passive mode) can be set in the connection type dialog in the flash settings/options menu, somewhere.
I found cuteftp was easier to set up.

I haven't had to do this in a long time either. You like CuteFTP better? From what I remember I didn't like it and went back to flash. You can FTP with Internet Explorer too. (not that you want too though.)

I actually found wsFTP_pro was by far the best ftp client.. but that all ended when I changed my entire house over to linux.
FlashFXP is a pain, not helped by people using broken cracked versions all over the place. A friend tried 20 different cracked ones before he found one that worked properly :).. I just used cute when I was there.. much less heartache...
So in conclusion.. CHECK THOSE SETTINGS.. 3 times, make a coffee, reboot and check again, then reboot etc.. Once you have connected once it becomes easy.. I can do it on any OS seemingly with my eyes shut... so much so that I find it hard to explain what I do. It's automatic.
Something else not to be overlooked is this.. if it is a second NIC which has been running the internal side of a shared network internet connection it could have the windows DHCP server running, which sets that network to 192.168.0.x and can't be changed.. always worth checking that by enabling DHCP in the xbox dash and trying to connect.

Yep, me thinks that's the right cord. (Patch cord)
In the pic, highlight what I have highlighted and click the properties button and you'll see this..
If you set 192.168.1.100 like I do then the xbox will be 192.168.1.200
Make sure your xbox network is set to "static".
The xbox IP is the one you put in flashfxp or whatever you plan on using.
If it still wont connect than something small and likely stupid has been missed. It'll be one of those "AHHH, $#@#%, can't believe it was that the whole time" things. :)

If I had a camera I would take a pic, but I'm poor so I don't. XBMC is my main dash but it should be pretty much the same thing.
Assignment = Manual(static)
IP Address = 192.168.1.200
Netmask = 255.255.255.0
Default gateway = 192.168.1.1
DNS server = 192.168.1.1
The default gateway and DNS server I don't remember entering so maybe leave those blank the first attempt to connect, and if it doesn't work enter the settings.
Good luck! :)

To be honest I don't really remember any of the apps and stuff. lol
I use XBMC as my main dash.. um, DVD2XBOX is great for backing games up to the HDD.
If you download roms (Nintendo games n stuff) it'll likely come with a couple emulators too. Use them all and pick the one you like most.
Ninja Gaiden Black is my favorite Xbox game I think.

Well put the emus in the Apps folder. I think the emulators has a roms folder where you'd put the roms. Most do if I remember correct. Jeez, it's bin so long now. If not you'd just have to edit an .ini file.
