Building a new computer...

I'm not a gamer so I purchased the following Graphics Card:

GeForce8600GT - 256MB.

I also bought a Cooler Master Pro 650 Watt PSU,Model RS-650-ACAA-A1, both from Microcenter.

What's strange is the PSU box states, PCI-E connector with bead core protection.

I'm thinking that the 10 pin (or so) on the top edge of the card when in it's socket is for the 12 Volt PS at about 22 amps.

If I'm correct, then they must sell an adaptor to connect to the 12V
PSU to the card which wasn't supplied???

The card did not come with one and the PSU doesn't have the correct
connection.

you will not need to connect anything to the card. it will draw power from the socket. the connector at the top of the card is for sli, so you can run two cards at once.
