NHL 08 digital purchase

I just purchased a copy of NHL 08 from electronic arts on their store page. The pachage downloaded correctly I think. How would I make a back up copy of the decrypted files given to me by EA? Although EA says they will store a copy for 2 years, what do I do after that to maintain the original copy?

Also: anyone else who purchased a similar product, were you able to request a physical disc after digital purchase?
