Difficulty Installing Xenium Gold Mod Chip

Greetings,

I was hoping someone would have an answer for some difficulty I am having installing my xenium gold 24k mod chip. The chip I am installing is from a previous xbox mod. The xbox quit working after several months. Whenever I would try to start it up it would start up, turn off, start up, turn off, start up, turn off, and flash red and green. So I thought, rather than fix it, I have another xbox (v1.6) - I'll just mod it and be good to go. However, when I finished soldering and turned on the xbox, it behaved the same way as my other xbox. Does this symptom point to a problem with my chip? Or is a soldering error? Whenever I take the chip out the xbox turns on just fine. Thanks!
