Hi,

I have patched and installed lameboy GBC emulator on my R4. It runs and loads pokemon gold but I can't seem to make it retain a save game. I have tried saving both by the in-game menu and by pressing x. The console (bottom screen) says that it has saved the game but when I reload the rom it has started a new game. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I want to suprise my 10 y/o Son.

Hmmm, if I recall correctly the pokemon games have a battery inside which keeps your settings and data from resetting. Though I don't think it keeps game saves only time. Try another game (not a pokemon game) and see what happens.
