ugh ive been caught for the first time =/ my ISP just contacted me saying that a company (ESA i think it was) told them they found my IP downloading Diablo 2 LOD but they are letting me of with a warning this time but it will be dealt with by phone the next time. ive been downloading via torrent for 2-3 years and i never got caught any other time. what can i do to make it so it wont happen again? and what would happen if i got caught again?

peerguardian2 is your friend. also, choose your torrent site wisely. but since you've been caught, most likely your ISP will keep a closer eye on what you download.

torrent downloading is more risky now, since the law is cracking down on people and sites.

i was thinking about just not dling torrents for awhile cuz i figured they would keep a closer eye on my IP. would it be safer to join a private tracker? which ones are the best?
