i tried to convert a giga pocket file to fit on a dvd and got an error message that said i was low on disc space. d drive is 90gig and when i highlight everthing on d it says i have 11.4gig of programs. but if i check properties it says i have 69gig of used disc. what could cause this? am i missing some hidden files? how can i clear up this "unused used" disc space?

Do you have Norton System works Installed ??? If you do you Might have a Shit Load of Files in the norton protected files that need deleteing....Just a Thought

yeah i did all that, for some reason that attempt to encode the video must have sent info all over my drive. i couldn't even optimize the disc because of lack of free space. i did a defrag and everything is back to normal, 87percent free space.
