Nero Backitup Version 1.2.0.65 Incremental Backups

I have Backitup automatically run incremental backups every night on some of the files I can't stand to lose...these files are all in one of two folders on my XP Home SP II machine.

It has worked wonderfully; unfortunately, since this job runs every night, I also have almost filled up the external hard drive that Nero writes to.

Does anyone know if I can safely delete the first say 90 incremental backups?

I guess what I am really asking is are incremental backups incremental to the original backup job, or are they incremental to each other.

If they are incremental to the original job, it seems like I could safely delete any number of intervening backups.

If they are incremental by day, then you would have to keep them all in order to be able to restore.
