Hi,

I recently tested the demo version of PQ DVD to Apple TV. It worked succesfully.

Thereafter I purchased the full version.

When trying to use it the application crashed in every variance I tried. Mostly the application stopped displaying 'the application seems to be frozen' a few seconds before the end of the DVD (both from DVD and disk backup files.

After contacting PQ support I just got an automated email reply with standard error handling procedures which did not fit to my query and did not help anything.

For several other support requests (similar and new errors) I did not get any response.

Did anyone of you experience similar problems or the same bad support from PQ?

any comments are welcome.

regards,

Michael

Hello Michael,

I have exactly the same issue... Trial worked fine, bought full version. Tried 3 DVD... every single time, application frozen a few seconds before the end...

Did you by any chance managed to fix this issue ? (I am really annoyed to have spend 30$ on a software that doesn't work)

Thanks a lot for your (or anybody's) help

Olivier

Hello Michael (and Olivier)
I have discovered the same problem as you both. Program hangs in the last second of a DVD convertion.
I recieved an email from pqdvd with some tips about other codecs. But I had a demo working, so why should I use an other codec after typing my 41 euro expensive registration code.
Did you solve the problem meanwhile??? Thanks for your answer in advance.

ok i don't have or tryed the program you are talking about, it seems that you have wasted money, there is a program call handbrake both for mac and pc is free and works great, it converts files for apple tv, ipod, xbox36 etc,if you are ripping at tv show it will ask how many episodes you want to rip and convert at once, look is free, you should see about getting your money back and try handbrake. and also if they mention a codec issue, try installing a codec pack i recommend klite codec pack also free. Good Luck

Hi, thanks for your advise.

Actually I use the klite codec pack for many years and succesful. And YES I know handbreak. But I was charmed about the nice look and easy use from PQ and the software could convert DVD's and stored (divx)files.
What I don't like is that the demo was working perfect. It had a limitation for only 10 minutes or you should register. And after receiving the registration code, the program is not working well at all. Opening existing files on the PC is not working anymore. Windows closes down PQ because of a serious error. And DVD's are converting till the last second and then it hangs with a corrupt file as result.
I spend a whole day testing different codecs on a 'clean installed pc'. The responce I got from PQ by email was within 24 hrs. But there recomandations are not working. When I reported that, I got again answer withing 24 hrs. But that answer was the same.... I have to be polite because if they can't help me out, I want to have back my money.

Hello there,

As far I am concerned, I never got my money back (nor a single email to appologize actually)... I've been using Handbrake for a few months now... Too bad I didn't know before I bought PQ...
