I keep getting an error I never used to get when I try to burn data CDs on Nero 7.0 Premium, version 7.8.5.0

The error is an 'invalid write state' and 'could not perform
fixation' error. It does not matter which brand CD I try. I have tried Memorex, Imation, and
Imagine.

I am running Windows XP Pro on an HP PAvilion ZV5340US laptop.
Any ideas?

Below is the log.

You need to use better media. Try Verbatim CD-Rs. Also, update Nero 7 to its set version, 7.10.1.2.

Thank you so much for your help. I fixed the issue. Here's what I did.

1. I updated my version of NERO 7 from their website:
http://www.nero.com/enu/downloads-nero7-update.php

2. I updated my firmware for my CD burner:
http://support.dell.com/support/download...0&fileid=117870

For some reason this firmware wasn't directly listed under my model of computer. I had to hunt for it with a Google search.

This also fixed an Outlook Express out of memory error message I was getting at startup.

All is good. Now I will look into these settings you are recommending. Thank you so much.
