I'm trying to rip some dvds into my computer for some reauthoring. Whenever I try to demux them I only get about a quarter, to a half of the actual video, and the audio file is all screwed up. I've tried ReJig, DVD Decrypter, PGX Demux, and Smart Ripper. All with the exact same result. Approx. 45 minutes of a 90 minute movie (as an example. If I had a 20 minute video, it'd give about 7 or 8 minutes. 1 hour 5 minutes for a 2 hour 5 minute movie, ect).
I've ruled out hardware failure, after extensive testing of my DVD drive. It's not software, because the aforementioned softwares created essentially the same exact file. It's not hard drive issues, I have plenty of giggage. It's not copy protection, because I wouldn't be able to rip at all, and I already have a program to take care of that.
I almost forgot. I deduced it as a demuxing problem when I ripped a dvd into .vob files then put them back together with Rejig and then demux them. Oddly enough, exact same result.
Further adding to my bafflement. I've already successfully demuxed and burned TWO complete reauthored movies! Perfectly! But then after those two, everything started doing what's happening now. I swear I haven't changed a thing. Not added or deleted anything, no bugs or virus', nothing. Everything is the same as it was, except I can't demux anymore.
Has anyone out there run into a problem similar to this? If you have, or you can tell me exactly what's going on, I'd be ever so grateful. This has been going on for about 2 weeks now. Thanks in advance.
