If you have ”Torrent or Azureus, they have IP filter functions built in that can use the same lists that PeerGuardian does.

Where can I see that at? I don't see under the preferences in mine.

Since you said Preferences, I assume you have ”Torrent.

In ”Torrent you add a file named ipfilter.dat to the ”Torrent configuration directory.
See ”Torrent FAQ: What is ipfilter.dat.

I have XP myself, but in Vista I believe the file should be put in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\utorrent.

Personally I update my ipfilter.dat manually by downloading the blocklist torrent which has all the lists and then use the Level 1 and bogon to make up my ipfilter.dat file.

But I believe you can use the Blocklist manager to automate this.

There is also this method for auto downloading (I do not understand it myself, but you might)

You can use Notepad (or similar) to create the file.
Just be sure to save as ipfilter.dat.

Vista has been out a while. I am surprised there are not stable Vista versions.

How do you create a ipfilter.dat file with notepad?
my nero is automatically making the ipfilter.dat file a video file for some weird reason, and it's not working!

Thanks for any help
