I burn using hp dvd+r or memorex dvd-r media, de-re-coded using anydvd through nero. I get a good playback (both audio and video)on my computer but on my hdtv (through a magnavox player or my lite-on player) I get great picture but no sound IN SOME CASES. This can be a movie rip or a limewire download and its very iffy. I burn using either a hp dvd writer 840x or a lite-on dvdrw sohw 1693s. I can vary the burn speed with same iffy results. any suggestions would be appreciated..(p.s. I am new at this copy burn stuff, but having fun learning.)

your choice of blank media is very poor use either Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim burning between 4x and 8x max.

try using dvd flick to if there avi files good program

as far as the audio it could be the poor media . have you tryed switching the audio with the remote control of the DVD player 2 channel 6 channel etc.?
