ok i have a question. my asus p4b266-la took a dump on me due to my error. it is rendered useless. however i have a 2.8, 2.2, and 1.6 p4 processor that i want to use on a board. is there a board that resembles the one i have and can take the 2.8 p4. it is this one. Processor

I want to use all my parts from the old board. i have the graphics cards and all. it can be an atx or micro atx board. if you have any questions for me just ask. i want to find the newest and best that will fit my specs. the board i blew was a 2001 model. thank you for the help

here are a few i found. i like the ones with 4gb ram instead of the 2gb i have now. also does it matter if its a agp slot 4x (i have now) or agp 8x. im using the raedon all in wonder 9800 pro.the box says 8x/4x. thank you

dfi lanparty pro
foxonn 66
dfi nb78
mini itx
asus p4sd
asus p4s5

how many threads u going to make?

It doesnt matter between AGPx4 or X8 if your card is X4 it will work in an X8 slot not the other way around though

M-ATX and ATX are form factors and doesnt affect performance from what i can tell

so go on what you think your going to use it for

for gaming go for one with good FSB and can take big memory

personally i find AGP cards very unreliable but thats my opinion

almost any motherboard will take ur processor as long as its Socket 478

good luck post back once you have chosen :)

k. well i make alot of posts because it is all different situations. umm i chose the asus matx one because the atx dfi is not available from anyone. i have to get this one cus my 2001 asus board took a crap and my compnents only fit that. no use in buying a good one. imma fix this comp and give to my girl then build the comp i posted about earlier. i just wanted to make sure that either mobo would accept all my components and what not. i know the processor and vid card will work. thanks for the help.
