All of a sudden I am getting failures on the lead-out write at the end of a double-later DVD burn. I am using a LITE-ON SOHW 1693S drive, Windows XP. Could it be Win updates? Here is the log, and any help is appreciated. I have been using the same DVD-9 media for the past year without previous problems.

i would shrink that size... to dvdr

Last address to be written: 2716431 (603:39.06, 5305MB)

but it may just be this dvd-DL or this file, other maybe ok?

you do have the bad roxio driver that conflicts with nero installed, use roxio zap tool.

and also i know you say media ok, but i must say use verbatim or TY

i just thrown 10 discs of a 50 pack away 40 ok 10 scrap.

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

update your firmware from KC4B to KS0B from here

http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2056

this could be the problem

also

Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)

this is a write error (which again could be the fact that your drive needs a firmware update)

to be honest if i were you i would use IMGBurn (free) to burn a dual layer disc. it handles the layer break a lot better than nero

but if you feel that you would still preffer nero DON'T use Nero Recode....do a straight copy to disc (recode is not needed)
one other thing in the copy options...disable ON THE FLY this can also cause errors
