I was burning my first DVD with ImgBurn - after using DVDFab & DVD Shrink.

As the burn started, I got the message in the log list:

"Optimum Power Callibration Failed - Reason: Power Callibration Area Error"

I hit continue anyway (or something like that) and the DVD receorded fine.

What did this error mean? Did I do something wrong?

Post a log please ---->Help/Imgburn logs.

Typically a OPC error is caused by cheap media. You can, as you did, ignore the error and try burning the disc anyway and in some cases come out with a good burn, as you did.

You need Shrink to encode the ripped file to compressed size for single layer disc - then Imgburn

Whether you think you can or you think you cant - either way youre right

Only the full version you buy. What I use is DVD Fab decrypter which is freeware from
http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
Then I encode with Shrink and burn with Imgburn. So far that combo has backed up every DVD that I see everyone else posting problems with.
