Chances are this isn't the place to ask, but it seemed more logical than waiting for a "Sony Playstation" forum to come along.
I know how to mod a PS2, but I always test by burnt discs on a PSOne to see if they play properly.
I downloaded Castlevania: SOTN from Emuparadise.org. It came with a .bin file and a .cue file. I followed the simple burning steps with CDRWIN and the game won't play when I perform the disc swap. Am I missing something?
Basic steps I took were:
Loaded the cuesheet in CDRWIN and burnt.
The CD, when I put it in the computer, seems to have all the necessary files but the PSOne won't read it. And if the PSOne won't read it, the PS2 won't either.
Well, first, PSOne is not a good indicator. If you say that you're disk swapping, I assume that you use SwapMagic, which does not play backup PS1 games. Or you can try doing that with other PS1 games, and if they work fine, find another image. And delete the link in your post or they'll burn your a**.
First try it with one of those.. it's near impossible to find a ps1 swapdisk or chip these days.
Swap discs are still around, the one I've got is PS-X-Change 2, and it works great. A few years ago I had boughten Action Replay 2 and it came with a bonus disc for PS1 games, that also works as well for loading backups. I ended up giving my friend that disc and now we both have swap discs for our PS1 :D

That all depends where you live. The ps1 has been extinct here for about 5 years. The high street game stores have even stopped accepting the games as trade-ins as of about 3 years ago. XD
