the disc has a theatrical and unrated version so i want to burn the unrated version on a dl disc. I used fabdecrypter to take out only the unrated version. then i followed the instructions to burn the video ts folder onto the dl disc using imgburn. imgburn could not start. the time kept elapsing while it said 'load L0...'. the 2nd time it started burning but it wouldn't finalize the disc because is said i had an i/o sesation error 0/2. is there any other way i could burn the video ts folder without imgburn since its giving me problems?

There's already a thread about this crammed with tons of success stories. However, I see that you're only having problems with burning the ripped files. With ImgBurn, you have to build an ISO image file first, then rush back and burn the ISO.

If files need to be compressed, use DVD Shrink. With good grace, you can
opt to produce an ISO image file, which you can subsequently burn with ImgBurn.

With Imgburn Pryme_H is right. Under settings or tools (it's been so long) switch it to right an iso image. Add your folders and specify where you want the iso saved and hit the go button.
Once it has finished making the iso image switch it to burn the iso image to a disc. Add the iso image and click burn to disc and your good to go.

What are you guys talking about? There no reason to create ISO's and then burn them. ImgBurn burns video files directly. Set it to 'Build'.

I perfer to watch the movies on tv and not the computer. Are you saying the video_ts folders will play on a stand alone dvd player?

No I have not explored a playable dvd to see what is on it. Unlike you my life does not revolve around understanding technology. Since I have not explored what is on a playable DVD why don't you tell me.

And i'm sure you wonder why you don't have a girlfriend and belong to the Star Wars / Star Trek clubs.

Just because I ask a simple question to weather or not you can burn the video_ts folders straight to the dvd should not really be a laughing matter in my opinion.

People come to this site ask for advise and learn from it.

My suggestion to you is; get off of what ever high horse you think your on leave the computer alone for a while and go find a girl

The files on a DVD are .ifo, .bup and .vob files in a folder named VIDEO_TS.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

"People come to this site ask for advise and learn from it" and you who doesn't even understand the basics of video structure choose to give advice? The only thing your post did was confuse the issue and provide some roundabout, awkward solution to burning with ImgBurn, a program you obviously have no experience with.

Well maybe it's time to start, maybe then your posts will actually make a little sense (but I doubt it).

You can start here (assuming your obvious robust social life allows time for such things).

MysticE,
You are right on the money. But please for future reference, I think it's best that you respond without attribution to other members' post. Instead, reply to the OP's question and then provide support why your idea is better than others'. I have a thick skin, and I surely don't mind being wrong. But please, not everyone is tech-savvy...

It's amazing that you direct that comment directly to me when I was confirming what pryme_H had already posted.

I have no problem with ImgBurn, again, (since you apper to have ADD and seem to miss the point) my simple question was can you burn the video_ts and play that on a stand alond DVD Player.

But you seem to just want to rant and rave about my lack of knowledge about what is in a dvd.

The advise I gave was in a way correct you can convert it to an iso and then burn, and then the people with no social life who disect dvds jump in here like your high and mighty.

Let me ask you this, are you a 40yr old virgen or just socially handicapped?

@MysticE & mpenney
Knock it off.
We are all here to help others - not get into these bs agreements over the internet of all places.

@mpenney
You last post is way over the top and totally did not need to be posted.
Time for a vacation.

@MysticE
We all started out as newbies at one time or another. AFAIK people aren't born with instant dvd burning knowledge. If you can not treat others here with respect then I would suggest not posting.
