i have a psp slim with cfw 3.71m33-4 and i'm trying to put cxmb on it. i'm tried two different ways. and none worked. one of them resulted in my psp not booting to the main psp menu. it would just turn off ( i disabled the plugin to get the psp back to normal)
the other try i tried a different way where i booted into the psp menu but i just don't see the themes in the themes menu ( i did put the themes in the THEME folder in my psp. and yes they are .ctf files ) so plz help.
is there anyone that has a slim with cfw 3.71m33-4 that has it working? if so can u tell me which file did u use and the steps u took (pm me that)
if i need to upgrade plz be sure abt it cause i know 3.9m33 has lots of bugs and 3,71m33-4 has most if not all bugs smoothed out. i have not got any real motivation to upgrade to 3.9m33-2. skype is not really important to me as i don't have a microphone for the psp.

first option was this one
Quote:These themes show up in your CFW under the themes section. They are really easy to install and much easier then flashing and safer also.
These are steps you need to follow:
-COPY THEME FOLDER TO PSP FOLDER
-COPY PICTURE FOLDER TO ROOT OF STICK (IF YOU WANT DIFFERENT WALLPAPERS)
-COPY SEPLUGINS AND CXMB FOLDER TO ROOT OF STICK
-ENTER RECOVERY MENU (by turning on PSP while holding R-trigger)
-Enable cxmb.prx in PLUGINS SECTION AND EXIT
- YOU WILL NOTICE THAT YOU AUTOMATICALLY BOOT UNDER A 360 THEME. YOU CAN NOW SELECT ANY THEMES FROM SETTINGS -> THEMES and JUST SELECT THE ONE YOU WANT. this never happened just a black screen and my psp turned off
Quote:The no-flashing theme plugin is back with a vengeance! Now, cxmb is fully integrated into the 3.90 menu. You can select your custom firmware themes directly from the themes menu! Uses ctf files to store and load custom firmware themes (previously only available on 3.90 through flashing) from the memory card. Note: Ctf files can only be used on custom firmware with the cxmb plugin.
1. Download both archives listed above.
2. From the Cxmb files, copy the "cxmb" folder from the CXMB_LITE directory to the root of your memory card (that's P:\ where P is the letter drive of your PSP).
3. On a new line, add "ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx" (without quotations) to the vsh.txt text file in your P:\seplugins directory. Create the file and the directory if you need to.
4. From the theme pack, copy the theme files (*.ctf) to your P:\PSP\THEME directory. You should probably remove any ptf themes you had stored there first.
5. Restart the PSP, entering Recovery Mode (hold R trigger during power on) and enable the cxmb plugin in the plugins menu.
6. Uninstall any custom theme installed to the flash0 (reflash the original files - you did make a backup, right?).
7. Start the PSP normally, the xmb should look normal, aka stock.
8. In the themes menu, select your custom firmware theme! The PSP will reboot after you make your selection and the newly selected theme will be visible when the xmb restarts. no themes appeared i put the themes in the right place and deleted old .ptf themes 9. If the background appears white after the reboot, go to the themes menu and under Color select the correct background. It may be necessary to reset again after this.
There you have it the safest way to flash ctf themes.Credits for this also go to transce080.
+Rep if you download.

is someone gonna help me plzz i also found a 3.71 cxmb plugin which i tried. i was able to see the cxmb themes but when i try to load them my psp would reboot and the menu is normal. nothing changed.
1. Upgrade to 3.90 M33-2. Everythin, u did is correct ... however, it seems like the plugin didnt work. Also, what bugs , the only one i noticed, is lag on some games (but there is a way to fix it )
