Hoping someone may be able to assist.
Having issue with Nero 6. This is retail version with original serial number. No issues with Nero previously. Runing Windows 2000
Attempted to uninstall.
Dowloaded General Cleaner Tool from Nero site.
Tried to locate Registry cleaner and driver cleaner download.
Could not find it on the Nero site.

Followed instructions given in other posts.
Attempting to do clean fresh install of Nero 6 get following error message (nerovision.exe.error13.the data is invalid)

Download Nero 6 from here and try installing. I prefer 6.6.0.18 myself:

Thank you for your response, will try later on today and see how it goes.

Do you know if Nero's registry cleaner is available to download from somewhere. Have not been able to find it anyware. Spent days trying to sort this out.

Nero sort of "cleaned" the Registry Checker and Driver Clean Tool from its site for some reason. I don't know if it's been eliminated or moved so that it's hard to find.

Tried the suggestions Laddyboy and the link Rotary.

No luck.
The Nero cleaner on the softpedia site seems to seems to be corrupted. It does not unzip cleanly.

I have emailed Ahead about a week back.
I wonder if they respond to their emails for support.
I got the automated response from my email so I know they received the assist request.

Any other suggestions? Can you suggest another burning program that might install over the problem nero left overs that will work
with W2000?

I also use ImgBurn for burning. If you need Nerovision for converting AVIs to DVD, there's the free DVD Click and the trial version of ConvertXtoDVD and the free AVI2DVD.


You could do a search for anthing "nero" or "ahead" and delete any items found.

You may need to backup your data and reinstall the OS. I'd probably reformat the HDD before reinstalling the OS. That should solve your problems.

Hi,
Have been trying to avoid wiping the system and starting fresh as it is work station used for Video editing. Still running older versions of Adobe Premier Pro and w2000. A couple of days work to do fresh install and reload of all and necessary software and hardware patches etc. Probably dont have option however.
