Hi, I am using a Dell Latitude D610 Laptop which comes with NEC ND-6500A DVD+RW drive. I've updated via official fw from dell's site to 2.03E but I see that there's this 2.25 fw which I'm confused about and can't update to that fw.
Anyway, I updated my fw due to the disc-at-once burn error on my newly bought DVD-R by sony (ver 2.1, accuCORE). It works with my previous DVD-RW disc but not this DVD-R. Was wondering what's the problem. I'm using nero 7.
Thanks!

Nero doesn't like virtual drives..... turn them off while burning.
your drive is old and you're using Sony 16x media burning at 2.4x not good. you should be able to burn at 8x if you're not or can't then the drive and Nero is not recognizing your media properly. use older media, 8x media and burn at 4x!

this is a Roxio/Sonic file that interferes with Nero..... delete Roxio/Sonic programs and try again!
good luck.

So what you're saying is that the DVD-R Sony disc I just bought is not compatible with my writer?
And also, what is a Roxio/Sonic? I've never heard of them before. How do I find the program in my computer to even uninstall in the first place? =/ Sorry for being dumb.

can also be found in WinAmp. If you don't have Roxio or Sonic then check out WinAmp...
