Hi guys

I have two separate AVI files, and I converted them using WINAVI to DVD format. After i finish each one, i try burning them both, but only one part shows up (because they are all named the same thing, like "VIDEO_TS, VTS_01_0", etc... How do i burn them both to the same DVD+R disc?

I tried renaming them, but then when i test it out, it doesn't play anymore...

Any suggestions will be much appreciated

BTW im using Nero Express 9 to burn them, and am running VISTA.

Use winavi to convert one of the files and rename it before it is saved to the HD. You should be able to add both the files and burn, i personally do not use Nero so would not know.
I use Xilisoft and can add up to three ISO's per disc.

Have you tried any other programs to accomplish this task?

So you're trying to convert 2 avi files to DVD as one title? This can be done with DVD Flick.

exactly, except i used WINAVI. However, when I went to burn it, I got an error message, i'm not sure what it said. IS there a way i can check the activity log to post the error message here? (Nero Express 9)

I haven't tried it myself but i imagine you can join the 2 avi's in "movie joiner" then convert that 1 avi into a dvd. It'll play as one long movie though, but it wouldn't take much time to jump chapters until you get to the second movie.
As i said, never tried it because most of my conversions come out as being over 2.3GB so 2 movies wouldn't fit on a single dvd-R.

If you just want to watch the avi's on your home system, Have you considered getting a Divx dvd player? Then you can put up to 5 avi movies on a single dvd-r.

I know with Xilisoft you can convert the two avis to one iso image and seperate the chapters up to 120 minuntes. Just add both of the titles for the conversion or do each seperate and add both files to the disc for burning. My avi files are generally around 700mb and I can almost add three movies per disc.

I thought you could w/ DVD Flick as well, dont remember and I myself not a Nero user.
