Macromedia Flash Player Problems on iBook

I can't seem to play videos well with the Macromedia Flash Player on my iBook; whenever I watch stuff on YouTube, they always end up sort of 'choppy', like they're being forwarded or something. Is there anything I can do to rectify this? It's not just YouTube; other sites like IMEEM Video have the same problem.
