I just burned a copy of Yuu Yuu Hakusho Forever (from this torrent:http://www.mininova.org/tor/246864) using Ashampoo at 4X, and I'm not sure whether the game worked or not. I'm using Swap Magic with a Flip top v7 PS2, and my ps2 is making awful noises when it is trying to load up the game. How would I know for sure if the burn was unsuccessful, if there is even such a way? I even verified my DVD after the burn, and Ashampoo said everything was in working order...

Are you by any chance burning games onto scratched blanks?

Read Kairu post here and further down to my post to see if that helps.

It sounds like its your fliptop giving you trouble.

You can first try to put a little pressure in the middle when you swap the disk or put something that weighs a bit on it. Not too heavy either though.

I don't know how Ashampoo is for burning PS2 ISO images, but you can also use Imgburn for PS2 images. Its free and burn on good quality media at 4x speed.
