i am now learning that i have to use custom firmware for my psp slim to run games i download from the internet but how the heck does that exactly work i would like to have a detailed description if possible i know people hate noobs at doing things but remember everybody was a noob at one time or anotha if possible help me plz i would be very gratful for the help

i wasnt a noob when i signed up cause a read losta forums.
cfw is what the name is, custom firmware. this allows you (in your case) to play games off mem stick. you buy special battery or mod your own, and make a magic mem stick to install cfw on your slim.
on the memory stick, the games dont lag as they sometimes do on the umd. you can also put emulators on, which let you play games such as gba, snes, acarde, n64...etc.. and psx.

i was like looking for step by step instructions
getting firmware on psp
what exact kind of battery to use
where to put the game files when everything is set
those sorta things
