Hi,

When I'm editing a wave file in Nero's Wave Editor and apply a filter such as the declicker to a selected section of the file, it displays blue and green arrows at the beginning and end of the section where the enhancement is applied. So far that makes sense, but then I noticed that I can "stretch out" the blue and green arrows at either end of the filtered section. (This is done by moving the cursor over the arrows, which changes the cursor to an "X" next to a vertical line.)

To clarify, I'm not using the double headed arrows at the bottom to move the start/end of the filters around. Instead, I'm stretching the arrows themselves (at the top). When I do this, the single line that marks the beginning (or end) of the filter is replaced by two lines. Before stretching the arrows, the single line is at the point where the green arrow touches the blue arrow; after stretching the arrows, there is a line at the left edge of the blue arrow and another line at the right edge of the green arrow. The blue and green arrows can be stretched to be any width, 5 or 10 centimeters wide... as wide as you like.

So the question is: What does this accomplish? Does it fade in and fade out the effect? I scoured the Internet as well as Nero's documentation and I can't find any explanation of this feature and how and when to use it.
