DSVideo 1.01 ~ HELP PLZ

I did everything that the DSVideo for Windows needed. I need help encoding .avi files to .dsv . When I took an avi file and dragged to the 'dsvideo' app, it flashed a command prompt then gave a new file with the same name but had 0 KB of memory. When I put on my ds, it wouldn't run. Can someone tell what I'm doing wrong? Is there another way to convert?
