No sound on windows media player with movie DVDs

Can anyone help me out on my windows media player.It seems to play my regular DVDs that I recorded myselfand I have sound,but when I put a regular movie DVD in I have no sound.???I have downloaded all of the updates also.puzzled completly??

check you're "options tab" and makr sure you have everyting there checked correctly. or try uninstalling and reinstalling wmp

Thanks,it was a codec,needed to call support up they got inside of computer through our incredible advances in support u give them permission and they take control of ur computer they fix it fast no messing around on phone and them trying to navigate u through everything ,I highly reccomend that type of support through Dell.For anyone out there that may need a problem fixed like this.JT
