ISO Locking Up

I've loaded an ISO onto my memory stick and try to play it on the XMB, but it locks up after trying to start the program. The music and the animations play (before you click to start it) but then the screen just goes black. Any ideas on what could be wrong? I have OE 3.40A and I have an IR Shell program (which I don't think really does anything). Thanks!

Edit: Also, I've tried it with a UMD in and I've tried switching modes to No UMD and running it without one.

try a later firmware 3.71m33 - 3.90m33-3 that will probably help also use the sony no umd np9660 option. irshell has lots of uses one of the best homebrew out there it even lets you stream iso's from your pc
