Fic VC11 turns on no video

I have a Fic vc11 rev. 1.2 motherboard with a pentium 4 1.9GHz Processor with 823Mb of ram and a e-geforce 6600Gt 128mb Video card.
Whenever I turn on the computer I get no picture on the screen eventhough the hard drive and cd-rom ect. are running and I can hear the computer boot.
Any Ideas on that I can do?

Try taking out the PCI-e video card and reseating it
if the Main board has "on-board video" some need to be turned off in the bios for the video card to be turned on.
do you have the manuals for video card installation and mainboard?
the video card install book usually tells the exact way of installing it
has it worked before?
is the video card new hardware to your system?
what kind of beeps do you hear when you boot up? (ie: one long too short) What is the name of your bios (ie: pheonix)?

its a AGP Video card
It has no intergrated video.
I get no beeps from the board
I tryed 2 diffrent regular pci video card with the same results.

If you need more information let me know.
I just cleared the cmos and replaced the battery to see if I could have success getting it to run.
I have also tryed a diffrent power supply with the same problem.
I know that the board works as well as the processor because I had it running the other day when I tryed it.
Any other steps I should take to troubleshoot?

presumably you have multiple sticks of RAM. Try powering on the system with only one of those installed, and then only the other. Also try using different memory slots.

ok, i tryed that with my 512mb in each slot, my 256mb in each slot and my 64mb in each slot with no avail.
Also it pheonix bios, didnt see that question in a early post.
Also if I take it into a computer store can they do a diagnostic on it?

Yes, they'll be able to do a diagnostic, but it seems like you've tested practically everything. Apart from potentially damaged or faulty cables (which you should check) i think that only leaves the CPU.

I think that is is the motherboard, I know the processor works because I tested it in a dell dimension 2300 and it worked fine.
Take in in tommorow and see.

Ah, I thought you'd tested the board, sorry. Yeah a faulty Motherboard is much more likely than a faulty CPU.

i looked up the video card and i came up with pci-e but if you say it's a agp then keep in mind:
putting a VGA X8 in a VGA X4 motherboard slot will get you the exact results that you are having
the motherboard video slot must be compatible with the video card
you may need to look up both

Zer0ink: AGP and PCIe versions of the 6600GT exist.
Did you have this graphics card working in this board before? It looks to me like the board is the wrong AGP standard for that graphics card.

It is a AGP 8x card but I have also tryed a AGP 4x card with the same results. It was a Geforce 4mx 420 card.
I had this card in another motherboard that was AGP 4x and it work fine.

Remember, AGP 4x comes in two voltages. The graphics card you tested in another motherboard may have been the newer 4x, and this board could be the older 4x.

I can't do a bios update without having the video card working. Unless there is an alternative way of doing so.
