I've been using RipIt4Me + FixVTS + DVDDecrypter to make a backup copy of DVDs so far and they have been working very well. Now, i started experiencing occasional ripping errors on some DVDs, since 3/6 months. The latest examples are <Ratatouille> and <In the valley of Elah>.
Is this due to new protections making those programs not working properly? which s'wares should i use?

Thanks

Try DVDFab HD Decrypter.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

No, you've got the neccessary tools to make quality backups.

My normal process, from which i rarely stray, is to rip to HDD with DvdFab Hd Decrypter, process through FixVts, Run deep analysis and transcode with Dvd Shrink, and finally burn with ImgBurn.

There's nothing wrong with having multiple tools at one's disposal though.

it worked (i tried it with <in the valley of Elah>).
Used this chain:
DVDfab HD decrypter 4 -> VOBblanker -> DVD shrink -> Nero

Thanks.
As far as i'm concerned, the thread is closed. Your suggestions were crystal clear. Afterdawn's still #1.

I Hope you didn't get rid of Ripit, it Still works with MOST of the new releases. It 's a great Standby Program.

i did not at all!
i will use alternatively the two chains:
1. Ripit4me (+ DVDdecrypter + FixVTS): you're right, it still works on many titles
2. DVDfab HD decrypter + Vobblanker

thanks again

Glad you got it handled.

RI4M is certainly worth keeping, so good call on not getting rid of it.

Like i said, it's good to have multiple tools at one's disposal. Once in a while you get a troublesome title and having a few different ways to try is nice.

Burn on!
