i want to back my games up to be able to play them on my ps2 i have game discs that are on cdr and dvdr how can i play them on my ps2 it is the old big version and it is not chipped
help please
So you already have backed up games, correct?
Since your system is not chipped you will need to:
A)Get a chip installed
B)Get a boot disc (Swapmagic)
C)Go with a soft mod (Independece Exploit, action replay, etc)
yesi alreday have backed up games which chip is the easiest i dont no if i fancy swapmagic cos ive heard it can break your disk drive is this correct?also i dont want to have to get one installed inside the ps2 are there any external ones?which ones are best?
I have never ever had any trouble with swapmagic. Been using it in a 'fat' for like a year, then switch over to a slim. Been using my slim with swapmagic for like 2 years now.
If your going with a chip I can recommend the Duo 3 ultra as it gets the job done, very nicely priced (about $20) and has DEV1/DEV2 support (good if your laser dies). Take in mind though that this chip must be soldered into the system.
As for external chips, I would have to say Memor32. It is a new product that supposed to work as a plug n play mod. Though a down side is that you need to patch every game you burn.
If you have a fatty then you can just get a slide card. You still have to use a swap disc but it is far less expensive and you dont have to break the seal on your warranty, not that many people care at this point. Ive had a modded fatty and a modded slimline, and the slimeline is slightly my convenient, but both work fine. So yeah, a slide card, google search ps2 slide card and Im sure you will find the answer to your issue.
