Problems with games freezing then blacking out on slim.

I have a psp slim and i've had problems with games constantly freezing at points and then blacking out. I used the pandora to get it to M33 the after numerous attempts upgraded to 3.80M33 - 5.

3.60 M33:
*Patapon stuck on loading screen
*Crisis core will not play fmv's all the way and will freeze then black out.
*Got a different Crisis core which loaded more of fmv's but will then freeze as well. But i can get to wutai where the game will black out when i enter the room after defeating the wutai troops.
*Formatted my mem card to FAT format to try an solve it, but with no improvements.

3.80 M33 - 5
*Patapon now loads and is playing fine.
*(A different on from the previous 2.) Crisis core is playing fine for a while but is freezing then blacking out at a scene with Genesis and
Zack when azeaul enters and the camera move behind azeaul.
*Sonic rivals freezes the blacks out at the start of story mode with sonic during speech.
*Tales Of The World freezes and blacks out when i finish character creation.

I'm stuck on what to do now. i've been searching for info for 3 days and have tried loads of stuff but i'm getting nowhere.
My friend with the same sonic rivals iso is playing the game fine on 3.52M33 - 4 cfw.

what size isthe finalfantasy iso? is it us or japan?

It's almost1.8Gb
Strange thing is that the current one that has worked the best is the US one but it's with jap speech and subbed. It loaded my other US data so it has to be that region.

The problem was the mem card. When i put it in my two friends psp's the games froze then blacked out as well. And when i put their mem cards in my psp the games worked fine. So the mem card i have is dodgy.
