Firstly, this is the first game I've burned. I don't know what modchip I'm using, since I didn't take it to the place myself. However, I know that the PS2 is capable of playing copied games.
I've been trying to burn a copy of Tales of the Abyss undub.
The iso seems to work, since other people have got it working.
However, when I stick it into my PS2, one of two things happens:
- it goes to the browser screen and detects the DVD. I click the DVD, and the PS2 gives the Playstation2 logo (with something about fluffy kitty put in by the undubber)...but then it resets.
- it loads up the Playstation2 logo as before (no browser) but then jams or resets.
I burned the iso with Nero and Alcohol (separate occasions) on DVD R and RWs.
Any suggestions?
I'll be glad to reel out relevant specs if you can tell me how to find them!
Yup, and if you have access to some tools you might want to give the laser a good cleaning. All that needs to come off is top half of the PS2, then the drive cover.
Use cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol to clean the laser lens. Reason being that rubbing alcohol evaporates quickly.
