i do the swap method and when i put the back up game in nothing happens. can someone please help me

Make sure the original you are loading has a high TOC (or at least higher than your backup). High TOC games include Devil May Cry, Manhunt, Sonic Heroes, and Samurai Warriors: Extreme Legends.

Well there's the problem, DVD9 originals won't work for cogswap.
Try with a DVD5 original.
