I have recently tried to load ye olde psx version of Metal Gear Solid onto my 3.90 m33-2 psp and it gets to the playstation logo and noise bit before goin blank. I can still press home and exit tidily but the game don't load.

Any Ideas?!

I have the 3.80 popsloader prx in the seplugins folder, and enabled so far as i can see.

Change the UMD ISO Mode to M33 Driver. Also since metal gear solid has 2 disks you will not be able to finish the game unless you create one large eboot from both files.

Why do you have to combine the files into one big eboot? From what I've read you don't have to do this with games like FF7 or FF8.

Yes you're right. With FF7 and FF8 it asks you to save at the end of each disc. once you save you just play the next discs eboot and load your game. However, in Metal Gear Solid, it does not ask you to save at the end of the first disc. so it is impossible to get to the next one without exiting the game. as a result you have to exit without saving; never being able to get to the next disc. this is why you have to create 1 eboot that is both discs.

Ah ok, I forgot it asked you to switch discs after the stairs.

My mistake, sorry for the dumb question.
