Hi all, cant seem to find my answers ATM.

Maybe everyone else knows already !!

I have a Chipped Console & it looks like the HDD has a problem as its halting with a "HDD Error" message & locking up.

I have another HDD (Seagate) to go in it BUT can I hook both HDD's up @ the same time & copy games & files etc direct from the old HDD to the new HDD ???

OR do I have to rely on FTPing the files off onto a PC then back onto the new HDD ??

I don't think you can hook both up at the same time, not sure how the drive numbering would come out. Remember you have to format the new drive and all first. Then try to transfer everything over to the pc, swap drives and then transfer back. There is a good FAQ on this here:

since you are chipped, you won't have to lock or unlock, or need the eeprom for that matter.

there's an option in xboxhdm where if you plug in both drives to your computer and they're both unlocked you can copy the contents of one to the other to make a clone. There's no progress bar or anything so i'd let it sit a good 6 or 7 hours for large hd's with lots of data.

If you have the Xenium Ice modchip you can unplug your xbox dvd drive, plug in your new hdd, keep your old hdd plugged in, go to the xenium menu and copy all the data.
