GPU:
Asus Extreme GeForce 8800GTS 512MB DDR3 TV-out HDTV DUAL DVI SLI-ready RETAIL PCI Express
DVD:
Samsung SH-S203D/BEBN DVD±RW Dual-Layer 20X BLACK Bulk SATA
Soundcard ? Dont know which one to choose. I need it to be DTS compaible and have optic out ( or some other way I could connect it with my sound reciever (Yamaha RX-v359)
Im going to use my 46" 1080p HDTV as a monitor, will it put some limitations/burden on the Videocard?
Whats your opinions on this setup? I have a limited budget for the PC so If you had to change one thing what would it be?
And finally; How good will this setup run Call of Duty 4 and Crisis? (resolution settings and fps)
Motherboard: Excellent
Chassis: Excellent
PSU: Very Poor. Get a Corsair unit instead or you WILL regret it. NEVER skimp on a power supply.
CPU: Good, just avoid overclocking it, e8400s don't take kindly to extreme overclocking.
RAM: Good. Again with the overclocking, but A-Data stuff seems reliable.
HDD: Good
GPU: Good, but hope you aren't paying too much for it. The 8800GT is almost the same, and often much cheaper.
DVD: Good, but people advise against using Samsung burners for DVD video (the sort you'd use with a TV). For making Data only backups though, they're fine.
Sound card: The gigabyte's onboard audio is DTS capable and has optical out. It's not wonderful for gaming, but fine for music and video.
Using 1920x1080 will be demanding for some games, and you'll have to lower the resolution for Crysis, but the 8800GTS should keep up in most cases. COD4 will certainly play fine though.
