Is it possible to rip a backup to HDD for Vista MCE?

I had all of my original DVDs in a Sony jukebox changer, which was completely destroyed during a move (including all my discs!). All I am left with now are my boxes of backups.

Based on my experience, I would like to rip my backups to my HDD, so I do not have to worry about my phyical discs again. I've tried with "28 Weeks Later", "The Simpsons Movie" and "Sunshine" - with no luck at all. They'll play from the disc, but no successful rips will play. Any advice would be appreciated.

I've tried:

AnyDVD HD (running in background)
ImgBurn (to rip ISO format)
Daemon Tools Lite (running and mounting the ISO from ImgBurn)
PowerDVD (to play the mounted ISO)
RipIt4Me (to rip DVD format w/AnyDVD HD disabled)

What OS system are you running?
Do you have programs to copy them as an avi file, those will play, but if you wanted to watch it in the dvd player you would have to convert it to an iso image for the burn.

This is odd?
