Sure the slidecard is used with Swap Magic or an exploit, and it basically tricks the PS2 so it doesn't eject and you can swap disks.

Definitely go with the flip top, cause with the slide card you are forcing the tray out. Over time this can result in undesirable operation of your PS2.
