Blu ray rip compressing?

I'll admit it, I'm a noob at this. I've lurked on another popular dvd ripping forum and this one for a while but no one seems to have the same situation as me. I've figured out how to rip a movie to my hard drive which weighed in at 30gb or so. Some things were confusing though. First, people always talk about the "main" movie file but I have a TON of files that were large and contained video information ( not commercials ). File sizes are:
6.7gb
6.25gb
2.8gb
2gb
1.2gb
1gb
800meg etc.
The movie was split into many files. The movie is alien versus predator so I am not sure if that makes a difference but I was not able to find one m2ts file that had the whole movie on it. I wanted to get the movie on my hard drive so I ripped it with anydvd hd and clonecd into an unprotected ISO just so I could have a backup. The file size is 48gb which is ridiculous. I have a HDCP video card and my system can easily handle blu ray playback.

My question is how can I shrink this abomination down to a reasonable size? 30gb would be ok but I don't need a lot that blu ray has to offer. I only need DTS/DD 5.1 with 1080P video. No DTS HD etc and only in english. I am assuming this would shrink down the file quite a bit. Also it does not matter what format it is in as long as I can play it with vlc player at great quality since my computer is hooked up to my TV with an HDMI + optical cable. I do not need to burn it to a dvd or anything like that, just compress it as easily as possible.

EDIT: Apparently alien VS predator has multiple versions which makes it a pain to rip. Are most discs like this? I do not need subtitles as well.

First you need BDEdit to find out which m2ts files are needed and in which order they need to be joined up. Then you use TSSplitter to join the files to create a single m2ts file.

Next you use TSRemux to remove unwanted Audio Streams and Subtitles.
