I subscribe to satellite tv, and I would like to use my pc as a capture movies. I'd probably want to burn dvds of my shows/movies. Can anyone recommend what I will need to be able to do this?

I'm in the process of building a new pc, but it will be xp based. I'm new to video capturing, and I appreciate any pointers/recommendations anyone can give me.
