I have copied CD/DVDs a million times on my laptop. All the sudden I can't write DVDs anymore (only CDs), wonder why...? Tryed to do Data DVD, Video DVD, ISO image file, nothing...

Driver: _NEC DVD+-RW ND-6500A
Windows XP SP2
disk: DVD-R (TDK, Philips - worked before!)

Your drives firmware most likely doesn't support these crapy discs. Your laptop has an old burner. You can try to update the firmware but you may need a new burner for today's newer media.

2.4x is usually +R format never seen a -R burn at 2.4 ??? prolly means writer cant read those disc properly...
