So it?s been almost 2 years if I'm not mistaken, that daedalus has been around. So far the majority of games will not even load while the ones that do are basically unplayable, with the exception of a few. Some of the games that came out on the 64 platform were my favorites. (Mario64, Goldeneye, Zelda ect ect...). Now I haven't lost any faith in Strmnnrmn, but at this point it does not seem like we will ever have a working emulator.
Any thoughts?

Although i've only really been aware of the PSP homebrew scene for about 3 months now, i have been keeping a close eye out for any progress with Daedalus. A fully compatable N64 emulator is the homebrew app i am looking forward to most. Games like Goldeneye can still compete with many of the modern titles on gameplay atleast, so i think many people would love to have them available on the PSP.
As far as im aware Strmnnrmn is the only person working on the n64 emulator, and so it can be forgiven that it is taking some time to get working. I wish i had some knowledge of programming and such so i could have a look at the code for the project.
I have read on Strmnnrmn's blog that v.r14 of Daedalus will be vastly improved and will have much greater compatability, so hopefully there is something to look forward to with Daedalus.

Well I'm a noob to all of this, but if what I have read is true and it's a one man project then what he's accomplished is nothing less than astounding.
With that said I would love a working N64 emulator, the N64 didn't have a lot of AAA titles. The few it did have were freaking stellar though. Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, Conkers, Banjo Kazooie, etc. etc.
Now if only we could get a PS3 emulator up and running...*sarcasm*

Where did you read that?? I'd really like to see that. I mean its been longer than normal since his last update so maybe we may see soemthing special this time.

And thats just the thing. it is a one man operation were as with the other emulators its not. your totally right though. Some of my favorite games where on the 64. The only thing I'm afraid of is Strmnnrmn deciding to just pack it in thinking its not worth it for him. And then were left with no one working on it :P

I cant put my finger on the exact link at he minute, but as i remember it was somewhere on QJ.net.
There's quite a few screen shots of the new version, THIS link gives some shots and a bit of info on whats coming up. Looks like StrmnNrmn has been work on the Media Engine for emu, and trying to sort out the audio sampling. Hopefully these will lead to a much more compatible emulator soon.
Also, i dont know if your aware of it but StrmNrmn's blog can be seen here:http://strmnnrmn.blogspot.com/
It hasnt been updated for a while, but im guessing that will be the first place any new updates are talked about.
I agree though...i really hope he doesnt abandon the project, im really looking forward to a working N64 emu, however long it may take to come.

Needs better Zelda and Goldeneye gameplay. The games that work work well, but I would kill someone in front of their mother for full fps w\ sound Ocarina of Time.

Well Mario 64 works pretty much perfect for me on my PSP Slim except for some annoying audio glitches. No lag. I say that daedalus has come a long way and people just need to be patient.

You can't get Mario to work at all? I'm not sure what you mean by settings, I'm running 3.80m33-5. Have Daedalus R13, the Daedalus settings are:
Texture Update Check:Disabled
Frameskip:Disabled
Limit Framerate:No
Dynamic Recompilation:Enabled
Dynamic Stack Optimisation Enabled
Audio:Disabled/Enabled (works either way for me)
Controller:Default
Like the above poster said there are some annoying audio glitches, however there's not a lot of lag (goes away completely with sound turned off). Sadly I can't get anything other than Mario and Superman 64 to work...and really who wants to play Superman 64?

Mario 64 is one of the games Daedalus is designed to play O_o
Set your frameskip to 1 or 2, it speeds it up pretty good without choppyness.

those were the settings im talking about. I guess by not work at all i mean it works but its so slow its unplayable. i'm probably getting 4 Fps ( with the sound off i get maybe 10) . although as soon as i go into a level it all goes to hell and it get 6-8 fps even without sound off

Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm a noob to this whole modding thing. If it works, I don't question it.
