I can't figure it out. What could possibly justify the huge price difference's between LCD-HDTV's. I see 20 inch HDTV's for 6,7,$800 while others are $325_$400. What's the main reason for the big price difference. Looking at a ViewSonic 22inch for only $328. Why is it so cheap? I don't see anything the higher price tv's have that this one doesn't. 1680x1050, 2,400 dynamic contrast, only 5 response, 300 brightness. I just don't get it.

I'm begining to think LCD-HD just isn't for me.....or alot of other people as well. There's gonna be alot of angry people who arn't paying extra for HI-DEF on their new LCD TV when then discover that the picture is fuzzy & not as good as their old tube tv.

The main reason for the diffrence in prices is the grade of panels manfactures use, some use grade A panels, some use grade B panels and the cheapest one's use grade C panels.

5ms is the response time of the pixels to change from white to black, or some manufactures fudge these numbers a bit and use the time it takes the pixel to go from gray to gray. Basicaly this means pixel on, off then on again.

Dynamic contrast ratio is the diffrence between the whitest whites and the blackest blacks. The higher the better.

Here's a link to explain what brightness is.

Alot of times they don't show all the specs so that make's it even harder to determine what your getting.
.
Can someone tell me what nit means after brightness. Instead of 500cd/m or 500cd/m2 it has 500/nit.
.
goodswipe: It's NX2232w.
