this is my problem.when i leave my computer on all night or through the day when im not in,when i go back to it and switch the monitor on my desktop screensaver is all pixelated.if i open a folder or go online this picture is fine only when i go back to my desktop its still pixelated.i usually have to reboot for it to clear.this is what i have tried so far.i had my monitor unplugged and disconnected from pc,it didnt help.i have also updated drivers for graphics card(geforce6200).the only changes i have made to my pc since this started to happen is i have added more memory and i have upgraded my graphics card(series4 to 6).i next thought of trying to put in my old card and trying this,ill do this tonight.but any ideas from anybody would be greatly appreciated.

If you've tried the graphics driver, then I'd say try changing the graphics card.

i changed the graphics card last night and everything is still ok this morning.ill leave it running till tonight then change the card back and see what happens.it should be ok as the the card had a 12 months guarantee with it and its only 5 months old.

Out of interest, what brand is the card, and which geforce 4 did you change from? The 6200 is no faster than the proper Geforce 4s (Ti4200/4600), but it's substantially faster than the geforce 4MX.

its a jetway 6200agp,as for my older one ive actually just looked at it for the first time and it actually a Geforce2 MX 32mb 4L AGP graphic card!! i put it back in for the past 24hrs and everything was ok ive put the 6200 back in and ill leave it on overnight and see what happens.
