PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME~!! a lot of thanks, hehe
Download 'DGMPDec' to demux the DVD files with DGIndex.
Download 'DVDAuthorGUI' to add the subtitles to the demuxed files and reauthor the DVD.
Run 'DGIndex', click 'File' 'Open' and load the VOB files for the title.
(VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc)
Click 'File' 'Save project and demux video' - this produces an .m2v and an .ac3 file.
Exit when complete.
Run 'DVDAuthorGUI' and click 'Add Title' - this will load the demuxed video and Audio.
Click 'Extras' and add the .srt file.
Click 'Author DVD' and choose a destination folder for the files.
i already downloaded the DVDauthorGUI application.
it works, the folder was created, and there are two folders. AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. i open the VIDEO_TS and click the file with biggest size. but there are no subtitle. there are 4 other files there. how do i solve this problem. thanks again. hehe
Is VLC offering the subtitles track from the drop-down menu?
If it's offering the subtitles, then it thinks they exist.
If it doesn't offer them, then something went wrong in DVDAGUI.
The log file should indicate that it processed the subs - like this extract from mine.
Statistics:
- Processed 85 subtitles.
- The longest display line had 52 characters.
- The maximum number of displayed lines was 3.
- The normal display height of the font arial.ttf was 32.
- The bottom display height of the font arial.ttf was 45.
- The biggest subtitle box had 4410 bytes.
please someone help me. the DVDAUTHOR GUI is working just fine. it created a folder with5 files in it. 2 with .BUP format. 2 again with IFO format. then 1 with VOB format. but when i play the VOB file, the subtitle doesn't show. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??
Check to see that the subtitles have been generated and are available in the stream.
Download DVD Shrink.
'Open Files' and load the 'VIDEO_TS' folder.
Are the subs listed on the right side of the window.
DVD Shrink says that you have subtitles.
Did you burn a disk and test them?
See if this link helps (it mentions how to tag the subtitle with the appropriate language label).
Note that I have only used Western European (English and Spanish) and Eastern European(Polish) subs - I don't know which settings are required for Greek, Cyrillic etc.
