I tried to copy the medallion with dvdxcopy platinum and express, one time just full screen version of the movie, one time with just the wide screen version of the movie, and another time with everything but the wide screen version. All it would do is play the warning screens over and over but if I opened the dvd like in explorer I could select certain vob files and play the movie but there wasn't an english version in the movies. Also the cd has 2 folders on it: 1 called video_ts which I think is normal and another called jacket_p which seems to be just the cover to the dvd. I then tried copying it with dvd decrypter and dvd2one with nero and neither one would copy. I noticed a peculiar thing as according to dvd shrink the whole disk is less than the size of a dvd-r but with dvd decrypter it says it's over 7 gig. Just copying straight with nero will not work it gives me an error. It also has rde according to dvd decrypter but that shouldn't be a problem as I'm in region 1. I'm open to any suggestions anyone might have. Any help in copying this dvd would be much appreciated.

Sys specs:
Pentium 3 900
768 meg ram
32 meg vid card
sony dru-510a dvd-rw

If you're using Dvd Xcopy Xpress, try this. (using a dvd-rom instead of a burner is better for ripping fyi)
1)choose widescreen setting
2)set audio to English
3)set subtitle (usually none)
4)directory to C:temp
Exit all other programs (including internet, firewall, antivirus, etc...)
5)hit start.
when ripping is complete try burning the files with another program like Nero. I suggest using data verification to make sure you got a good burn.
good luck

I have been having the exact same problems trying to copy that movie. Have tried pretty much everything I can think of (which seeing as I am new to copying dvds, probably isn't a lot!)

If anyone could help out with this problem I would really appreciate it.

Hi.

Thanks for the help. I finally got it to copy. What I did is I used dvdxcopy platinum again and told it everything on the dvd it compressed it to 60% but it copied and play without a hitch. I didn't change anything but it worked for some odd reason. Thanks again for the help.

I just burned that movie last night both full and widescreen and didn't have any problems. I started with dvdxpress copied the files to my harddrive, used IFOEdit to remove warning, and then burned with xpress.
