[color=red]my computer keeps freezing its comes up with loads of messages saying you have a virus and telling me to download i used mcaphee and avg free edition to scan they found threats and i deleted them but the computer is still the same but only worse it comes up saying windows doesent have the right protection and telling me to download virus ranger i did and i scanned with it. it found a few viruses but it never deleted them!!
and also my background changes red everytime my computer restarts[/color]

it never worked. and i tried it twice now its not as bad but the first time after i tried it when i went back to normal mode mchphee found viruses and started deleting them. then it said i shud restart and scan my computer again because it cudnt quarantine it

run them all again in safemode including your anti-virus programs. are you familiar with msconfig as possible your virus(es) are there in the startup.

i ran it again. now theres a red think that comes up in the middle of the page like every 20mins saying you have a virus and has a location on there but when you go there theres nuffink there i cud show you the picture but i dnt noo how to upload picture onto this thing

My dad had something similar. I told him to start out with system restore. Problem solved.

System Restore restores your computer to an earlier date. These dates are either set by you, or when you install/uninstall something.
Go to Start>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.
**This WILL remove ANYTHING saved after that restore date. I suggest you backup any files you saved after the date you are choosing.**

it will show a calender with dates on it. any date in black you can do a system restore to but not the gray dates. won't loose data but any program installed after the date you choose will have to be re-installed.

Ok.
When "it" pops up
Press the "Prt Scr" button, it's right above the Insert Key.
Now this is what I do, I don't know if anyone else does it, but do this:
Go into paint, hold CTRL (doesn't matter which one) and press V (paste)
The image should be pasted into the Paint screen.
Then.. Go to File, Save As. Save it.
Now you just need to upload it to like photobucket, or image shack.
Once its uploaded into an image hosting site.
Make a new post here, and click the box above this one with the shapes.
Insert the images URL there.
Or just provide us the link.

Mcfee is crap did nothing for my system! Just install avg free addition & download & install spyware terminator www.spywareterminator.com & do your first scan at a full scan & that should sort out the spyware problems!

its still the same theres no difference i scanned it using sywware terminator as you told me it found then deleted them and it said i shud rescan in safe mode and i did but it still never worked!! what next can i do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
